Last Friday (18th June) I was one of 80 Celebrants from our celebrant association, Civil Celebrants Graduate Association, who attended an annual professional development day at the Treacy Centre in Parkville. (It might interest you to know that all Marriage Celebrants are required to attend an annual OPD update.) It’s always energising to connect with colleagues, especially when the issues are pertinent to the law, and regulation of Marriage in Australia.
As is CCGA practice, this day was followed the next day by the annual conference of CCGA Celebrants. To be precise, the Conference opened with a celebratory dinner that was held after the OPD, on Friday evening! This was lot of fun, and a great way to spend time catching up with one another. The Conference input was top class. The speakers, and the workshops led by CCGA Celebrants, were inspirational. This, coupled with opportunities to network with fellow celebrants, has provided new inspiration and energies for the year ahead!!
